2010 BBC CLUB CHAMPIONSHIP 

Thanks to everyone who came out for the Club Championship and made it a fun tournament!

For those who don't already know, here's what happened on the final day:

Matt Goff was the lucky winner of the Blue Jays ticket raffle. Thanks to anyone who bought a ticket.

Rick Kane won the D final again this year, beating our 'most improved'  Big Derek L.

Andrew Crighton won the C final against the equally under-ranked Ryan Anderson.

Squash VP, Dave Morrow triumphed in the B final over the tenacious Gary Hill.

And Larry Frizelle is back on top, winning the amazing A final over Andrew Strudwicke.

cI think by the time the week was over, everyone felt like Jules and Roger after this match!

And by the way, Jason Cooper beat James Dann in the A consolation, Fran Blackmore beat Roger Morito in the B consolation [way to go Fran], Peter Bouffard beat Matt Goff for the C consolation [but he won the raffle] and Sarah Dann won the D consolation over Scott Collinson. Sorry no photos.

Thanks again to Julian Holland and Premier Brands for buying everyone a pint and special thanks to Karen and Sharif Khan who supplied the rest of the prizes and the Blue Jays tickets for the raffle.

IN OTHER NEWS...

Paul McArthur thinks he's figured out how to use the racquet stringing machine and has offered to show anyone that's interested this Saturday, May 1st starting around 10:30. We should be done by noonish. If you'd like to learn how to string your own racquet [or know how and can help us] see you then.

The Squash season isn't quite over... we have one bit of unfinished business. The 10th Annual Streetcar Series [invitational against Mayfair] was supposed to happen several times over the last few months and has been rescheduled again. We're hoping it will really happen this time. Friday May 21 and Saturday May 22 are the tentative dates. There has been talk of turning it into a 'Triathlon' by adding beach volleyball and cycling [?]
